Overview
MarketerHire is seeking a contract Frontend Engineering Evaluator to assess how effectively AI systems produce production-quality user interfaces, including components, state handling, styling, accessibility, performance, responsiveness, and testing. The role requires 2–3 years of professional frontend experience, strong JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS skills, experience with a modern frontend framework, excellent written English, and the ability to identify subtle implementation issues and provide evidence-based evaluations.
Responsibilities
<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Design task-specific grading criteria for frontend deliverables, including component implementations, UI bug fixes, refactors, and tests.</li><li>Evaluate AI-generated frontend code for correctness, state and edge-case handling, accessibility, performance, responsiveness, and maintainability.</li><li>Identify failures and subtle implementation issues that may not surface as runtime errors.</li><li>Review component design, state handling, styling, browser behavior, and frontend testing practices.</li><li>Assess whether interfaces follow responsive layout principles and web accessibility standards.</li><li>Write clear, evidence-based justifications for every evaluation score.</li><li>Apply consistent judgment across evaluations and iterate based on feedback from senior reviewers.</li><li>Follow complex instructions and distinguish clearly between established knowledge and inference.</li><li>Work independently on an hourly schedule while meeting the engagement's weekly availability expectations.</li></ul>
Requirements
<h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>2–3 years of professional frontend experience shipping production interfaces.</li><li>Strong command of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.</li><li>Hands-on experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Vue, Angular, or Svelte.</li><li>Solid grounding in component design, state management, browser rendering, responsive layout, and frontend testing.</li><li>Working knowledge of web accessibility standards, including WCAG, semantic HTML, and ARIA.</li><li>Experience reviewing other engineers' code.</li><li>Excellent written English.</li><li>Ability to follow complex instructions, reason through ambiguity, and spot subtle errors in code that renders correctly and runs without failing.</li><li>Ability to maintain a clear separation between what you know and what you are inferring.</li><li>Ability to work independently, learn new tools quickly, and take feedback well.</li><li>Based in and working from the US, Canada, or UK.</li></ul>
