Overview
MarketerHire is seeking a Finance & Accounting Evaluator for a 12-week remote contract to assess AI-generated financial statements, reconciliations, financial models, accounting memos, spreadsheets, and slide decks for accuracy, rigor, and domain quality. The role requires 2–3 years of experience in accounting, audit, FP&A, corporate finance, or controllership; working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, or UK GAAP; strong Microsoft Office and Google Workspace skills; excellent written English; and sound evaluation judgment.
Responsibilities
<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Evaluate AI-generated financial statements, reconciliations, financial models, accounting memos, spreadsheets, and slide decks against quality rubrics.</li><li>Identify calculation errors, accounting-treatment errors, presentation errors, misapplied standards, and unsupported assumptions.</li><li>Assess the accuracy, rigor, and domain quality of AI-generated finance and accounting work.</li><li>Write clear, structured feedback and provide justifications for every score.</li><li>Review the application of US GAAP, IFRS, or UK GAAP in evaluated materials.</li><li>Follow complex instructions and apply evaluation criteria consistently across varied documents and work products.</li><li>Reason through ambiguity and distinguish clearly between what is known and what is being inferred.</li><li>Spot subtle errors in polished financial documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks.</li><li>Help refine grading criteria and iterate on evaluation practices based on feedback from senior reviewers.</li><li>Work independently, learn new tools quickly, and incorporate feedback throughout the engagement.</li></ul>
Requirements
<h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li><strong>2–3 years</strong> of experience in accounting, audit, FP&A, corporate finance, or controllership.</li><li>Working knowledge of <strong>US GAAP, IFRS, or UK GAAP</strong>.</li><li>High proficiency in <strong>Microsoft Office</strong> and <strong>Google Workspace</strong>, especially spreadsheets and slides.</li><li>Excellent written English.</li><li>Ability to follow complex instructions, reason through ambiguity, and spot subtle errors in polished work.</li><li>Ability to clearly separate what you know from what you are inferring.</li><li>Ability to work independently, learn new tools quickly, and take feedback well.</li><li>Based in and working from the US, Canada, or UK.</li><li>Availability for <strong>30–40+ hours per week</strong> for the full 12 weeks.</li></ul>
